Still dying a lot in Spellbreaker

Over the last few weeks, I’ve played Spellbreaker several more times. It’s been rough going. Some memorable endings include:

• Died on page 1 fighting a demon.
• Helped a town with a plague, where they set the barn on fire with me in it, then I caught the plague and died when leaving the town. The only way to not die while leaving the village, is to have made a lucky Faith roll back in town.
• Making my way through the tomb in the swamp with the Holy McGuffin, simply overwhelmed by fight after fight after fight.
• Made it to the western-most town, where I was judged to be a witch and killed by a mob.

Ouch!

It’s a rough one. I’m starting to piece together the required bits, though, and the bits which are optional. But I have a feeling that I am still a long way from completing this quest.
